    Kent Fire Safety Assessors

    Fire Risk Assessments

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires that a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment is carried out. This requirement extends to the common parts of residential blocks of flats as well as more commonly recognised types of nonā€“domestic premises.

A fire risk assessment should be an organized and methodical look at your premises, undertaken by a competent person who will look at its activities and the likelihood that a fire could occur and cause harm to those in and around your premises.

If your organisation employs five or more people, or your premises are licensed or an alterations notice requiring it is in force, then the significant findings of the fire risk assessment, the actions to be taken as a result of the assessment and details of anyone especially at risk must be recorded.

Our fire risk assessor is a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers.

We use the PAS 79:2012 format for our fire risk assessments.
